A charming antique 9ct yellow gold brooch, featuring a glazed oval panel depicting a sailing yacht on open water.

The hand-painted nautical scene shows a traditional sailing boat with rich russet sails, set against soft blue water and a pale sky. The oval panel is framed in a warm 9ct gold mount, finished with a beautifully detailed twisted rope border - a fitting maritime detail that gives the piece real period character.

Measuring approximately 50mm x 35mm, the brooch has a generous presence while remaining elegant and wearable. The reverse is fitted with a traditional brooch pin, along with a small suspension loop, allowing the piece to be worn either as a brooch or pendant.

There are some light signs of surface scratching to the glazed front panel, which are difficult to see in normal wear but have been photographed for accuracy. These details do not detract from the overall charm of the brooch, but they have been noted clearly as part of its antique character.
