A beautifully saturated cushion-cut sapphire takes centre stage in this platinum ring, its rich blue colour shifting from vivid royal blue to deeper midnight tones as the light moves across the stone.

The sapphire is held in a four-corner claw setting and framed by a fine halo of round brilliant-cut diamonds, carefully following its softened square outline. Further diamonds continue along the shoulders, drawing light towards the centre while leaving the sapphire very much the focus.

The proportions are particularly successful. The halo is restrained rather than oversized, while the substantial platinum mount gives the ring a reassuring weight and permanence. From the side, an open gallery lifts the sapphire above the finger and allows light beneath the stone.
