Vintage Rolex Oyster Royal Manual Wind Watch, circa 1950s

This is a vintage Rolex Oyster Royal from the 1950s, a manual wind model that has become increasingly scarce in original condition. The watch features the classic Rolex crown symbol on the winding crown and carries the familiar proportions of early Oyster Royal references.

The piece has recently been serviced, lightly polished and fitted with a new glass. The movement presents in near immaculate condition, reflecting careful ownership and proper maintenance through its life. The dial appears to have been restored at some stage in the past, with a clean and readable finish that suits the watch well.

The reverse of the case is engraved “G.B.” followed by the dates “1932 – 8th Nov – 1953,” adding a clear personal history to the piece and placing it firmly in its mid century context. The watch is fitted to a brown leather strap which complements the steel case and keeps the focus on the dial.
